What percentage do you pay back?

22% of the GROSS sale price of every item sold on your behalf.  Next closest competitor is at about 6% maximum!

How do I ship my items to you?

We use Fed-ex or freight carriers based on the amount of items you have.  Simply contact us via this web site or call us at 866-607-6500 to arrange shipment.  If your shipment is picked up by Fed ex pre printed pre-paid labels will be sent with the driver, freight shipments you will be e-mailed or faxed a "bill of lading" pre-filled out for billing to us.  You are not to pay for any shipping charges.

When will I get my first check?

Typically if you do a textbook drive only your first check will come after the next book rush however you can request a check at any time.  For electronic media and devices checks will usually begin to come 60 days after delivery and continue at that rate thereafter.

How do you plant trees exactly?

We are working with a well known non profit group that plants trees all over the world through a program specifically designed to connect children with one another to do so.  The children learn environmental lessons and how the planting of a tree effects not only their local environment but the world as a whole.  We provide the funding necessary to plant at least 1 tree for every item we sell on your behalf at our cost.  This does not come out of your 22% of gross return you get.  If you want to match it that would be wonderful!

What is recycled?

For all the items we receive we sell what we can first and foremost to raise funds for you.  For everything else we utilize local recyclers to fully recycle everything.  We have never put any item into a landfill.  Many similar companies were forced to discard and NOT recycle items when the market crashed in 2008.  Our close proximity to major world shipping ports enabled us to continue without interruption.  Our commitment to the environment is strong and serious.  Nothing we receive from you will be thrown away.

How do you compare to others?

We have many competitors most of which return very little and cannot handle the volumes you will have in your community or on your campus.  Two competitors however will be compared below here for your convenience based on their own marketing materials and interviews:

One competitor promises to pay return money to a non profit partner that you choose from a list of literary partners for instance.  Sometimes they offer to also pay a campus club a small amount from that money usually 50 cents.  They advertise they return 7.5% of the NET sale price which roughly equates to 6.375% of Gross.

For comparison purposes we will use 10 typical cartons of books:

There are about 20 books per box, could be a lot more.  The average price per book to sell is about $12.  This means the average return from our competitors is $15.30 per box or $153 per 10 carton shipment.

Book Drives Inc return is 22% of Gross or  $52.80 per box or about $528 per 10 carton shipment.  Huge difference.  Don'[t forget about the 20 trees planted too!

Competitor number 2 which is a wholesaler currently trying to offer a flat price per box which was at last report $10 per box but was based on how your books looked and could be less..  This just $100 per 10 carton shipment compared to our $528 per 10 carton shipment average to you.

Keep in mind that competitor 2 is also your wholesaler telling your students the books are worthless but then still taking them to sell.  Its a major ethical issue that could come back to be a serious bone of contention with your students.
